The analysis and reporting of data, following a cyber breach event, to determine what personal information was accessed and what individuals were affected.
A data breach is an unauthorised access or disclosure of personal information, or loss of personal information. A data breach occurs when personal information that an entity holds is subject to unauthorised access or disclosure, or is lost. There is no ‘one size fits all’ solution to preparing for and responding to a data breach.
After a cyber breach Siera Data helps organisations identify what private information has been accessed, and who that information relates to. This information is then provided to the breached party to assist in notifying affected individuals and government regulators (such as the OAIC) as per the requirements under The Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
